Casa Monstruos - The monsters and fantasy landscapes of Jasser Membreno’s Casa Monstuos move between worlds, just like people. In this solo exhibition, the gruesome and whimsical monsters of Membreno’s drawings and paintings step into worlds that ask them to assimilate, find authenticity and give and receive compassion. The first-generation Central American artist draws inspiration from the childhood escapes of 80’s cult films he relied on as a child moving between worlds of school, home and homelands.
